Smoking can cause cancer, heart disease, impotence, and pregnancy and fetus interruption. We have often seen the warning like that in container of cigarette but why nowadays many students, even children keep smoking? There are many reasons for answering that question. One of them is the less of attention from parents. As we know that school is not the only one place to study, home is the first place where a child got his education, if parents keep giving much attention and supervision, pure love, and good advices and to their children. The smoke habit will certainly decrease.

Another cause is having bad friends. Many students don’t know why they smoke, the common answer when they are asked “why are you smoking” is just following friends. Cigarette has addictive substance like Tar which will make the smoker addicted to always smoke, but unfortunately it not only has addictive substance, it can be also dangerous for human being.

Many students believe that smoking is a cool habit. The word “cool” can cause someone to smoke, it depends on the way we mean cool. For some people think that smoking is cool, usually they smoke in front of their friends or in public so that everyone can see him then he is considered as a cool man.

Addiction of smoking is the popular reason, not few students try to stop smoking, but because of the addiction they are difficult to leave smoking, and as the result, everyday they must smoke although it is just one cigarette in a day.

However smoking is a bad habit. The much attention of parents is very important, parents can always give the supervision, with whom their sons or daughters have friends and how their sons or daughters behave both at schools and at home, then, parents can immediately give the first warning if their sons or daughters smoke.
